  14. Protect your downloads, tape backups, faxes, CD-ROM recordings; secure
  15. your workstation.  Let your screen saver run when and only when you want
  16. it to!  Highly configurable, ScrnSaveSwitch/Plus gives you the fastest 
  17. and most complete control possible over your Windows screen saver.  A 
  18. click to a taskbar icon or a small button bar, or a quick keypress, lets
  19. you enable, disable, start, or configure your screen saver.  You can 
  20. also set the screen saver delay in one second (rather than one minute) 
  21. increments, and automatically disable password entry during screen saver 
  22. preview.  Command line interface for use with program schedulers.  It 
  23. also provides quick and safe methods to log off, shut down or restart
  24. your computer.

  32. 1.  Move or copy SSSWITCH.EXE, SSSRST16.EXE, and SSSWITCH.HLP into a new
  33.     or existing directory.
  34. 2.  Win95 or NT 4.0:  Add SSSWITCH to your Start Menu.  The "StartUp"
  35.          folder is a good place to add it.
  36.     Win NT 3.51:  Add the SSSWITCH icon to your Windows NT Program Manager
  37.          (File/New/Program Item...).  "StartUp" is a good program group
  38.          to add it to.

  44. 1.  Delete the above files from your hard drive.
  45. 2.  Delete the SSSWITCH.INI file from your Windows directory.
  46. 3.  Delete the SSSWITCH icon from Program Manager or Start Menu.

  49.                            Why ScrnSaveSwitch/Plus?

  52. * So programs run correctly:

  54.     Not all software behaves correctly if the screen saver suddenly 
  55.     comes on.  Clicking the "screen" icon is a simple and 
  56.     convenient way to protect your downloads, tape backups, faxes, etc.

  58.     Also, many screen savers require a lot of processor power, which
  59.     can drastically slow down other programs.

  63.     If your screen saver is password-protected, a quick click of the "S" 
  64.     Button or a Hot Key shortcut starts the screen saver immediately and
  65.     lets you leave your workstation without fear of others' prying.

  69.     Your computer can't tell whether you're reading what's on the 
  70.     screen, attending to another matter, or fast asleep!  It's all 
  71.     "inactivity" as far as the computer is concerned - but it can be an 
  72.     annoying interruption to you.

  74.     Windows 95's "sleep corners" are OK, as long as you remember to keep
  75.     your mouse there.  (They shoulda done it this way!)

  78. + Plus - The "Windows Exit" utilities:

  80.     Many programs (including Windows itself!) never release the memory
  81.     or other system resources they acquire.  The only way to make those
  82.     resources available again is to quit Windows and then restart it.
  83.     Sometimes a whole reboot is required to restore a system to "normal"!
  84.     These utilities make that reinitialization safe, simple, fast and
  85.     keyboard-free.
